Color coated steel sheet are made on high-speed continous coating lines through a number of processes. Such as chemical pretreatment, primery coating and finish coating, thus they have better corrosion resistance than single coating plate.

The paints' features

The thickness of the paint layers applied on the steel coils is as following:

Primer: 5-7 µ M
The types of primer used are: PU (polyurethane), Epoxy and Polyester. The primer prevents the appearance of corrosion and increases the paint adherence

Top coat: 10-25 µ M
The "top coat" types that we use are: PE (polyester), SMP, PVDF, PU (polyurethane), PVC, and Acrylic. The "top coat" prevents the appearance of corrosion, increases the adherence of the paint and improves the workability and the resistance to the ultraviolet incidence

Back coat: 5-10 µ M
The back coat prevents the appearance of corrosion and increases the adherence of the paint to the polyurethane foam.

PPGL steel coil is an ideal product for many painted applications where superior atmospheric corrosion resistance is needed, such as in:

Brief Introduction:

1. Prepainted Steel Coil is coated with organic layer, which provides higher anti-corrosion property and a longer lifespan than that of galvanized steel sheets.

2. The base metals for Prepainted Steel Coil consist of cold rolled, HDG electro-galvanized and hot-dip alu-zinc coated steel. The finish coats of Prepainted Steel Coil can be classified into groups as follows: Polyester, silicon modified polyesters, polyvinylidene fluoride, high-durability polyester, etc.

3. The production process has evolved from one-coating-and-one-baking to double-coating-and-double-baking, and even three-coating-and-three-baking.
